Certificate III in Aged Care Work (CHC30102)
Successful students from this course will be qualified to work under plan care in nursing homes, hostels or within the community care framework - meeting the needs of the elderly and/or disabled. This everchanging industry needs dedicated, caring people with enthusiasm to work with the elderly. The course caters for those who may already be working in the industry as well as those who do not. Our trainers take an up-to-date, practical approach to the course content. The course fee includes a Senior First Aid course and extensive course workbooks & notes.

Certificate III in Children's Services (CHC30402)
This is the standard national qualification for child care workers and will suit those wishing to work with children or already involved in child care. The course covers interesting aspects of child development, play support, behaviour management and health and safety. Work experience will be negotiated individually with participants. Prerequisites are good written and verbal communication skills and being physically able to undertake the job. The course fee includes all workbooks and a Senior First Aid course with Certificate. Although advertised for 2 days per week for 20 weeks, this could be changed to 1 day per week for 40 weeks depending on student preferences.

Certificate IV in Community Services Work (CHC40708)
This course is designed to provide you with skills to obtain work in a wide variety of Community Services settings. These positions may include: Youth Worker, Residential Housing Worker, Crisis Support Worker, Youth & Recreation Officer, Juvenile Justice Officer, Support Worker and others. You will gain the skills to identify individual issues and implement strategies to assist individuals to improve their quality of life. There will be an Information/Orientation session held on Tuesday 27 April starting at 9.30 am.
