    This professional level course is a good foundation on which to build a cake decorating career. Topics covered include: covering a cake, making royal icing, piping base & side borders, piped flowers, simple embroidery, calligraphy, floodwork pictures and other simple decorating techniques. You will need to purchase a kit of equipment and materials from the tutor. The cost of the kit is $100. It will be possible to go on to do a sugar floral art course next term.     This is a great new course developed by Byron Community College and North Coast Area Health Service. You will learn about a myriad of topics including: grow your own food, basic needs of plants, understanding climate and micro climate, design principles, soil types and more. You will explore the concepts of no dig gardens, vertical gardening, mulch, compost and worm farms. There will be demonstrations on seed sowing, ph testing and seedling planting. You will learn about the use of herbs, weeds and manures. Gain knowledge of pests and diseases, dealing with adverse conditions and what to sow when. Share photos and scenarios of yours and other students gardens, set some goals and even experience a field trip! Wow. . . It is a jam packed course, full of fantastic information.   • Fibreglass Sheathing of Kayak

    Following a very successful Kayak building course, we will now finish the project by covering the kayak with fibreglass cloth enhanced by a Polynesian patterned fabric. Students are requested to bring along some basic tools.
