Much has been written about the Mayan predictions for the year 2012. Much more will be written, talked about & presented in film, television & other forms of media in the coming 18 months. Much of this information will be doom & gloom, playing on peoples' fears & insecurities. However, other views are that the changes predicted have already begun to take place and we are honoured guests at the most wonderfully exciting change of consciousness that humans & the earth itself have experienced. This workshop will feature the film "2012 - An Awakening" which is a presentation of ideas by many of the world's most renowned social commentators & scientists and will be followed by a discussion of the issues raised.

Public Speaking Today
Being able to find the right words at the right time is very useful, but often not nearly as important as how you say them. Most people get a bit nervous on the rare occasions they have to stand up & speak in public or at work and that's a positive emotion because it motivates us to do our best but, if you turn to jelly every time you have to address a group of people, you need help. This program will help you analyse your fears about public speaking and face up to them. It will equip you with the knowledge & skills you need to become a confident & persuasive public speaker. It will explain how to prepare what you want to say, how to control your nerves, how to read your audience, how to get your message across effectively & how to handle hostile audiences & awkward questions. Participants will have the opportunity to practice the skills in a comfortable, supportive environment. The emphasis will be on work related situations of public speaking.
