Certificate III in Aged Care Work
Certificate III in Aged Care Work (CHC30102) is the nationally recognised entry level qualification for the industry. This course is designed to give students the qualifications to work in an aged care residential facility as a nursing assistant, community support worker, accommodation support worker, community house worker, or in home respite as a personal care worker. It will also give students knowledge to pass the entry test for Enrolled Nurses. The course consists of 13 units of competency. Units cover a range of topics including providing personal care, demential management and occupational health and safety. This course includes work placement under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. A Federal Police check is a requirement of this course.

Certificate III in Children's Services
This course is suitable for people wishing to enter the child care industry or who are already working in the industry. Centre based, home based, preschool and out of school hours care are covered in the course. Hours and days will be arranged with students to accommodate needs but the core will operate around classes, home study and workplace participation. A Federal Police check is a requirement of this course. Prerequisites are good written and verbal communication skills and the physical ability to undertake the job. This course will be held Tuesday 9.30am - 3.00pm and Thursday 5.30pm - 9.30pm over 20 weeks.
